What actually affects the price of window cleaning

Height first

Ground level is a pole and a bucket. Second storey is a ladder and more time. Third storey and up is rope access or a lift, certified operators, and a method statement. That step is where the price moves most, and it is why “how many windows” is the wrong first question.

Then access

A clear path around the house is quick. Garden beds, narrow side returns, locked rear gates, a neighbour’s fence in the way — each adds time, and on some sites decides whether we can use a ladder at all.

Then what is on the glass

Regular maintenance cleaning is fast. Builders residue, hard water staining and years of neglect are a different job with different chemicals and sometimes a different price bracket entirely.
